Standing in Faith with Our Sisters!
There is a beauty in the way God designed community. From the very beginning, He never intended for us to walk through life alone. In Scripture, we see a pattern-where there is faith, there is fellowship; where there is struggle, there is support.
When I started this ministry, that was my number priority: build a community of women that will make Hell nervous! And God has been so faithful to my "yes". Galatians 6:2 says, "Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." This isn't just a gentle suggestion-it's a calling...it's OUR calling. When our sisters in Christ are hurting, confused, or weary, our faith becomes more than personal; it becomes purposeful. Click "read more" to hear how we strive to love like Jesus.
Faith That Lifts
Faith isn't only believing God for ourselves-it's believing God for others when they can't see the way forward. Sometimes a sister's strength is low, her prayers feel empty, or her hope feels shattered. That's when our faith steps in and lifts her up. A simple prayer, a gentle word, a reminder of who God is - not the cliche "you got this girl" or "just hang in there, it'll get better" spill - but offering them something more tangible can break through the fog of discouragement. Your faith can be the spark that ignites hers again.
Faith That Stands in the Gap
There will be moments when a sister's battle is too heavy for her alone. Maybe she's facing spiritual warfare, heartbreak, financial strain, or overwhelming fear. In those moments, God positions us to stand in the gap. When Moses grew tired during the battle, Aaron and Hur held up his arms until victory came. Exodus 17:12 reminds us that sometimes victory isn't found in fighting alone-it's found in someone holding up your arms. That is why we should always be looking around at whose arms we can hold up! That's what you'll find at Willow Haven: women who will lay down their own struggle to help hold you up.
Faith That Reminds
In our struggles, we often forget God's promises. But sisters in Christ are called to remind each other: "You are not alone." "You are loved." "God is working even now." But I strive to do more than just offer these encouraging words. I want to meet you where you're at...like physically. We believe at WHM that our faith is not passive, it's active. We live it out by bringing you food, helping you with the kids so you can have some alone time, or taking you out for coffee and listening and praying with you. Hebrews 10:24 says, "Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds." To spur someone on is to encourage them forward when they can't take the next step alone. We won't just point you to Jesus, we'll walk with you every step of the way.
Faith That Reflects Jesus
The way we love each other is one of the clearest reflections of Jesus to the world. John 13:35 says, "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." When we step into another woman's pain with compassion, prayer, and presence, we show Jesus-sometimes (okay most of the time) clearer than words ever could. That is still our number one goal here at Willow Haven Ministries. To love like Jesus did. To meet you where you're at. To be the hands and feet. Not just by words but by action. This isn't just a place to come and get a free meal once a month. No, it's so much more than that. It's a sacred place where you can feel at peace - you feel God's protection - and you can expect someone to catch you when you feel like you can't stand. Together, WE'LL STAND!
