Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Carrie Cortes. I am a mom to 5 beautiful blessings and a wife to the most amazing husband ever. My family has been my rock through some very difficult seasons and I am beyond blessed to get the privilege of doing life with them.

I know what it feels like to be broken, lost, and searching for a way out. I’ve walked through the pain of watching my sister fall into full blown addiction to the point of it almost taking her life. I’ve carried the weight of unhealthy and abusive relationships because I had lost all hope that I could ever truly be loved. I’ve dealt with the emptiness of trying to find my worth in all the wrong places because I was sexually abused as a child and I thought I was beyond fixing. For a long time, I thought my story was only about survival - but God had something greater in mind.

When I surrendered my life to Jesus in July 2020, His love met me right where I was. He slowly began to heal the wounds that I thought would never close, break the chains that I thought would never fall, and showed me that in Him, I am fully restored and deeply loved. He turned my pain into purpose.

Now, through Willow Haven Ministries, I want to walk alongside women who are facing the same struggles I once did. My heart is to be a reminder that no matter how far you’ve fallen or how broken you feel, there is hope, healing, and a brand-new life in Christ. If He did it for me, He can do it for you too.

My hope for this ministry is that women KNOW they are not alone. That they KNOW there is someone out there who loves them, values them, and sees their true potential. No matter the situation that you find yourself in, I want to help you find real recourses that are sustainable so you can begin to walk in your true calling in Christ.
