Ladies Fellowship Nights
Willow Haven Ministries was created with a simple yet powerful purpose - to be a place of refuge, renewal, and restoration for women. We believe every woman carries a story, a purpose, and a divine calling placed on her life by God. Yet along the way, many find themselves weary, broken or uncertain of where they belong. Here at Willow Haven, our mission is to meet women right where they are - in the middle of their journey - and walk beside them as they rediscover who they are in Christ. We start that by inviting people in and start "showing" rather than "telling" them they are welcome.
When I started this ministry, I kept asking God what He wanted me to do in order to achieve this goal of bringing women together. I would sometimes lie awake at night, thinking and pondering things. The only visions that the Lord gave me was of women kneeling down on their faces, crying and weeping. And then I saw visions of women raising their hands in victory. Those visions were wonderful, but I still couldn't quite put my finger on how to bring them in. Then God revealed to me a time when I once felt isolated; times when I wasn't invited; times when I felt so alone even though I was surrounded by people. I thought back to that dark time in my life and remembered what I needed in that season - and that was inclusion!
That is what sparked the idea of having monthly women's fellowship nights where every female is invited, included, and welcomed with open arms. The number one goal for these events is to POINT THEM TO JESUS through community, fellowship, conversations, testimonies, and simply showing them the love of Jesus rather just telling them they are loved and seen. I thought back to the season I mentioned above where I felt isolated, and I remember people telling me that Jesus loved me and that I was not alone. One, I already knew that Jesus loved me. And two, I knew that He was with me. But if those two things are true, why was I longing for friendship? We as Christians are called to do more than just speak about Jesus. We are called to exemplify Him and His behaviors in everything we do.
My goal for every event held here at Willow Haven is that you will walk onto this property and feel God's tangible presence. You may enter with heaviness, but I pray that you'll feel so at peace while here that you'll lay everything down at the feet of Jesus and walk out feeling renewed and redeemed. We are called to stand together - to love and encourage one another. There is absolutely no judgement here at Willow Haven. I want to do more than just point you to Jesus. I want to walk alongside you as you begin to make your way towards Him.
I've worked in customer service pretty much my whole life. One thing that was instilled in my brain many years ago was this: If a customer asks where something was, don't just point to it; walk them to it. It's funny how something that used to be annoying is now something that I value. I don't just want to point you to Jesus and pray that you find Him. I want to walk with you every step of the way to make sure you don't get lost. Because just as there are so many distractions in the store that pull you away from what you were searching for, life is full of distractions that try to pull you away from Jesus.
